Gebruikt Kate Middleton botox? Een opvallende ‘voor en na’
Afgelopen woensdag postte de Britse plastisch chirurg Munir Somji van Dr. Medi Spa Clinic een ‘voor en na’ van Kate Middleton, die volgens hem geregeld baby botox laat inspuiten. Dat berichtje slikte Kensington Palace niet, waarop de foto werd verwijderd én het paleis steevast de geruchten ontkent.
Baby botox
Dr. Munir Somji stuurde een opvallende collage van Kate mét en zonder diepe voorhoofdrimpels de wereld in. De foto werd intussen verwijderd (wij konden ‘m nog op een ander Instagram-account vinden), maar het onderschriftje gaat nog steeds de wereld rond:
“Our Kate loves a bit of baby Botox. Patients come from far and wide to see me for this procedure. It truly is so simple… There is no excuse for doctors to leave patients with brows on the floor. Note the reduction of fine lines on the forehead. But also note the depression of the medial (middle part) brow but elevation of the lateral tail of the brow.”
Daaraan voegde hij nog toe: “The magic of baby Botox is that it does not leave you feeling so heavy and provides you with a subtle reduction of lines as well as a better eyebrow position.”

Kensington Palace ontkent
Niet proper, vond Kensington Palace en de woordvoerders van Kate Middleton en Prins William lieten intussen al weten dat de geruchten niet kloppen. Aan The New York Times zeiden ze:
“It is categorically not true and in addition, The Royal Family never endorse commercial activity.”
Sammy Curry, de marketing manager van Dr. Medi Spa zou intussen in een officiële verklaring laten weten hebben:
“We wouldn’t be able to disclose whether she is a client or not. We have non-disclosure agreements where we can’t disclose our high-end clients. We absolutely can’t comment at all that she has come to us. The doctor thought it was a good comparison picture to use to show the effects of Botox and obviously baby Botox which he does himself. He just wanted to show the transformation that it can create and obviously how it can be used for subtle results and how it’s really good for anti-aging.”
Hoewel plastische chirurgie absoluut geen taboe hoeft te zijn, is het claimen zonder toestemming als promo natuurlijk helemaal not done. Niet mooi van je, Dr. Medi Spa.
